WELCOME TO PALLET TOWN!!

I was looking forward to Senior Specialist Course 2006 because the course was all about drills proficiency which I totally ADORE, unlike horrible Specialist Course with all the mumbo-jumbo about rifles. That aside, I actually learnt that Air CLTs are generally great to work with, nothing of the hot air that I have heard so much about them. My fellow APCs were Alvin and Ahmad. Wonderful guys. Not forgetting WenTing, the garang PC, i have actually been looking forward to working with her. Not a bad experience at all, she was very thoughtful and organised. Maybe it's just me, but I have never seen a PC compiling all the appraisals into a book, I thought that was really cool. I think I used the appraisals in Specialist Course as rough paper :P

Overall, I thought that the standard of the cadets have fallen. It is appalling to see how some of them fumbled with their arms drills and struggling to do a proper bang. They should have prepared themselves adequately. However, I must say that I was fortunate to have an OK platoon, not much attitude problems and pretty obedient, except for the inevitable occasional clown-ny moments. Then again, there were 2 award-winners from my platoon so I guess we are not too bad after all.

I think the greatest thing about being a CLT is... BATHING slowly in camps! A clean Kenny is a happy Kenny :) I know WenTing has a lot to say about that. Food was okay though the vegetables taste of tap water as always. Logistics were great and I think Straw-Perry did a really good job as a Logistics OIC. Some senior CLTs said I walk like a king-kong. Now, that's new.

Probably my last Senior Specialist Course ever. It was a great homecoming.
